Fact mix 324: Soul Clap →

Get set for a ridiculous amount of funk: Soul Clap have just supplied the latest installment in the Fact Mix series. The pair really started making waves with last year’s superlative DJ Kicks compilation, which saw them working alongside fellow Americans Wolf + Lamb, and more recently they’ve been doing the rounds in support of their debut album EFUNK, which is due out in a few days. To give you an idea what they’re on about, check out the music video they just released for the album’s lead single, The Clapping Song.

Their Fact Mix saw the light of day before any of this, first surfacing in 2010 as a super-limited release entitled E-FUNK: The Mixtape. However, it still exemplifies the fun-loving, funk inspired house music the pair have now become renowned for, and even when it strays into kitsch territory, it does so in all the right ways.
